In order to display both video and static content on your screens, you will need to do the following:
Create a new sign for your static image:
- Open Creator using the 'Creator' button at the top left the page in Director
- Select the option 'New Sign' and select a name and preset (portrait/landscape)
- Using your Media Management window at the bottom of the page, select the 'Upload Assets' button to upload your image into SignStix
- Once uploaded, drag and drop your image onto the canvas
- Move and resize as required
- Click the 'Publish' button at the top of the page to save your sign
Create a full-width video sign:
- As described above, create a new sign and call it 'Full Width Video Sign'
- Using the tools on the left-hand side, select the video tool
- A box will appear on the canvas
- In the Tool Options under the Layers Palette, set the Video Size to Full Width
- Publish your video sign
Create a playlist for your video files:
- Navigate into Director>Content
- Select the + icon at the top of the page and choose 'New Playlist'
- Name, tag, and add description as desired
- Select the + icon to add your video files
- Drag and drop the files to reorder
- Click the 'Add Playlist' button to save
Create a sequence to link your static and video content together:
- Navigate back into Director
- Select the + icon at the top of the page and choose 'Create a Sequence' from the drop down list
- Name and tag your sequence as required
- Select the + icon at the right-hand side of the page
- A pop-up window will appear with all your published signs in it
- Select the sign you created for your image
- Also select the full width video sign
- Close the pop-up window
- You should see both your signs in a list
- Along the video sign line you should see a column titled 'Playlist'
- Click on the drop down and select 'Add Playlist'
- Select your video playlist from the list
- Along the same line, you should also see a drop down under the column titled 'Repeat'
- Click on the drop down for your video sign and select 'Wait for Video' from the list
- Select the 'Add Sequence' button to save
Once you have completed the above steps you will be able to assign and deploy your sequence just as you would a playlist.
