What is an interactive sign?

An interactive sign is a digital sign that is intended for deployment to a touchscreen. It may contain touch-events which are triggered when certain layers are touched, or timeline-events which are triggered when the animation reaches a certain frame. These events can be configured so that the signage changes in some way when they are triggered, for example: Jump to a particular frame in the sign. Pause / resume the animation timeline. Launch a full-screen video (then return to the original sign). By combining events, an interactive sign effectively becomes a mini-application that can be deployed to end-points in the same way as signage.
